Some say this is the age of great hate.
Surely, love may not be everywhere in this days.
Hoping triumph from love, which is invisible, as a weapon in this grey world growing colder with vivid hostility and apathy seems ridiculous at times.
However, from my experience, hatred is always alone even when it seems to be running the show. On the other hand, love is unrelentingly together though it may be falling apart, running and fading away.
Love has a good chance of winning.

I'm telling a story of those who will struggle for love in a world that comes in the way of love.

On a side note, in this album containing five songs, there are two songs I am dedicating to people I love, especially to my fans, and Love wins is one of them.
Until now since eighteen, when I suddenly started receiving so much love and my life changed overnight.
There wasn't a day I haven't imagined about falling. I just thought it would be a lonely, frightening and natural thing.
My attitude towards it started changing slowly after thinking about it for over ten years.
I am not afraid anymore. I don't think I would be sadder or lonelier in that moment. Moreover, I don't think it's imminent.
While I barely made through, I'm sure it was the people who tirelessly reassured me for over ten years who changed me this much because I used to be a pessimistic, fretful girl.
Thanks to them, now that I think of it, I was never alone for a single moment since I've been living IU's life.
To my industrious fans who never left me alone.
I want to tell you I am grateful that you endlessly planted love in my heart, which may have been born severely dry.
Also, I still don't know why but thanks for choosing my side every time.
As you did for me, I want to be with you in your moment of rise and fall.
I want to be the person beside you to tell you, "It's nothing to be afraid of. Let's fall most gracefully."/

It continues IU’s great song saga after ‘Secret’, ‘Dear Name’, ‘Love poem’, ‘My sea’ etc. as a ballad song with distinct features of composition, starting with a minimal and vintage style piano intro to a maximum outro. The vocal soaring like it’s fighting a battle as the song heads to the outro and the instrument composition reminding of a splendid symphony maximizes the sentiments.

The harmony theme piled up on rhythm that sounds like it's floating in the sky enhances the charm of the six/eight time, and the string that widely spreads out and gently embraces the overall sound adds width and depth to the song.

If you follow the harmony of IU’s delicate vocal technique, wide-ranged melodies, and the non-stop journey toward the climax, you will reach the end before you know it and find yourself putting your mind to every single breath of IU.
